The shine doesn’t show on this shot but I tell you the glossy metallic paintjob looks. Also, a last shot of the cockpit before assembly.

Did a very minor mod on the arm armor, cut off a part that obstruct movement. Left one is modded while the right arm is not (just to show emphasis on the modfied part).

I like the contrasting colors of matte blue (not painted just topcoat) and metallic red on the backpack.

Didn’t put much decals on this build just enough to make it look detailed.

Giving lots of credit to Bandai.. The head has o seam lines at all.

All I need to do now is paint the thrusters in chrome, apply decals on the weapons and a final layer of topcat. Oh a look of how the MG Unicorn looks after completion.

Decided to just use the metallic red spraycan I have here. Yes I was using the chrome paint + clear blue paint combo..

Decided to mod the legs for better articulation, nothing fancy was done aside from me cutting/chipping parts that hinders the movement.

Right one is the modded leg while the other still is not..

Parts of the unmodded leg just waiting there, topcoating this thing is a real pain.. Had to spray it by each piece cos the armor has matte topcoat while the psycoframe has gloss.

Yes those parts are semi-transparent.. Not sure what to call the paintjob but it looks like candy red?

Label on spraycan says metallic red but I’m not too sure..

I’ve already painted this leg and the shield in metallic blue before scraping the initial plans.. So yeah, they’re not semi-transparent anymore.

Took a quick shot of upper body in Unicorn mode, I won’t transforming this anymore once painted. Sliding kinda scratches the psycoframe’s paintjob.

Finally.. A glimpse of what’s in store for us in Mass Effect 3. From the look of things it instantly picks off where Mass Effect 2 has left off, the reapers coordinating attacks against everyone in the Milky Way.

It’s a little funny when we were picking out which movie to watch, considering we’re a generation that relies on the internet most of the time. Nobody bothered to check out what’s a good watch. Well aside from Harry Potter and Narnia (which some have already seen).

Someone suggested Saw The Final Chapter (good lord there’s another Saw movie) but almost everybody agreed that it’s not worth watching it on the big screen. Another one said “Skyline” but we would wait an hour or so cos the movie has already started. Finally everyone agreed to watch monsters cos a we saw a trailer of it near the ticket stands and one review says “Awesome!”.

Long story short, most of the group is disappointed of the movie. They were groaning that it was a tad short and where the heck is the frakking “pew pew” and explosions. I did a mental note and scored the film 6 out of 10 before leaving my seat.

I don’t know about them but I do think this was a good movie . Scoot McNairy and Whitney Able did a convincing job of portraying their respective characters. It’s not over the top performance but it works. An added bonus for me is that Andrew is a photojournalist (which I kinda want for a job).

And did I mention Whitney looks hawt with her smexy short haircut.. She speaks in Spanish almost a quarter of her dialogue, which is also a nice touch.

The setting feels oh so right for a sci-fi film, the alien ravaged post apocalyptic look of both USA and Mexico. The army operations all over the place.. Tanks, planes, destroyed buildings and whatnot.

Do I love the part where they wear gas masks.. <3

For anyone wondering.. Is this worth watching?

All I can say is if you really like the sci-fi genre, don’t mind all the talk/character interaction and the lack of visual effects then by all means yes.. You really should watch this movie.

Also keep in mind that his film’s budget is just $500,000, about 90% of the filming the crew comprised seven people transported in one van or just read this wiki article on how the production went down.

No primer or basecoat, just simply painted it in chrome then used a Tamiya clear blue spraycan.. Not as shiny as I’ve expected but it works.

As expected of a “Ver Ka.” MG, this thing is spammed with decals in every nook and cranny (not that I’m complaining). Applying the decals is one of my fave things to do.

For any idiot out there complaining that Katoki puts in too much decals, you aren’t required to apply them all y’know.. And don’t say “I hate applying them but it doesn’t feel like a Katoki kit w/o them”. Goddamn fags..

I am skipping some decals though, would only apply enough to give it more depth..

Left the backside of the psycoframe in chrome colors, that way it looks like the psycoframe is turned off when in Unicorn mode.

P.S. Will probably post my finished gunpla in galleries soon..

So I got myself a scriber, plastic cement, decal setter, weathering marker and some putty. The decal is bought a couple of months ago but I totally forgot about it.. It wasn’t until I was rummaging through the photobooth that I found it tucked away there. xD

Also started working on the ZZ Gundam’s head and removed the seamline.. I’ve arrived home with the supplies (also with a new bag and shoe, no clothing though). BAM! I’m not sure but that instant the passion on building plamos just flared back.

After working at the relics that are Full Armor ZZ and GP01 FB I finally have returned to working on something that has a real inner frame.. And by god the feeling of amazement in Bandai’s engineering was felt again.

Another thing I love about a plamo having a full inner frame is that you can readily disassemble the armor parts for an easy paintjob or topcoat.

The torso without any of the armor.. Damn do I hate the clear hot pink the psychoframe comes with. Will just have to buy a Tamiya Clear Red sometime.

Sliding the armors to transform this thing into Destroy Mode was a bit tricky at first, buy yeah you’d get the hang of it after a while.. That is by far an impressive feat yet again by Bandai.

P.S. Not sure whenever the next WIP for the FA-ZZ will be posted (planning lots of stuff for it, including pla-plating).

Came to a realization that lately I’ve been living in some ways like that of a hikikomori.

This started after I’ve finished my college degree.. I’ve said to myself that I’d take the next to months off for a vacation or something. A break from all of it.

This September marks my the fourth month since I’ve started that break. I’m not sure what happened but I have been too accustomed to my daily routines these past few months. Daily activities usually would be:

- Finish chores/errands.

- Gaming until lunchtime.

- Wash dishes after lunch then take a nap.

- Do whatever before dinner.

- Use the PC until bed time.

It wasn’t until yesterday that I’ve noticed I’m not doing anything productive with all this time that I have, am still jobless and is pretty much at home all the time.

Heck, it’s also been a month or two since I’ve gone out with friends.

So yeah.. Starting things off with trimming my beard (been weeks since I last had a good shave).

NBA 2k10 – Yeah I’m an NBA fan.. First played NBA Game was NBA Jam for Sega Genesis back in ’95. Would play exhibition games of 8 minutes each quarter. Nothing too fancy no Playoff or Dynasty modes (yes I don’t like the idea of playing the same team over and over). And this is a way better game than EA’s Live/Elite.

Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2 – What can I say, everything about Mass Effect is superb.. The story, character interactions, its universe in itself, voice acting, OST. I couldn’t really say anything more from what every game review site has said. Spent a good 30 or so hours on each game playing the very basic soldier class on Hardcore difficulty.

I particular love the codex part of the game.. Gives you much info about everything about the game’s story. From the alien races down to the technology used.

Dragon Age: Origins – I’m not really a big fan of medieval themed games but this one is also made by BioWare, so yeah I just had to dig in. And I previously thought the character interactions in the Mass Effect games were good.. This one proved me wrong, the conversations really branches out and being nice alone is not enough to gain a companions respect.

Gameplay is really fun especially when you need to use tactics when facing another group of enemies. Finished my first playthrough on roughly 60 or so hours, played as a dual weapon wielding warrior with the diffifulty set to hard.

Dead Space – I’m still at the start of chapter 3 and I don’t think I’ll be going anything further soon. And I must confess I’ve played my share of horror games but I’d always never finish them. I’m not sure but I think the problem stems from my absolute dislike of being a human character and playing against abominations, its the feeling of surprise you get when they do something you’d not expect.

So if I ever get through this game it’ll be a personal accomplishment.. Finishing a game from the horror genre lol. (And yes I’ve played and finished all of Half Life 2 and its episode 1 and 2).

Final Fantasy X – Anyone reading this might wonder.. Why an old game like this. Well I’ve played all the three earlier Final Fantasy games (from the PS1) and got really into it and I never really got a PS2 back then. I’m not really gonna say much here ’cause I’m planning on writing a full article about this one soon.

Well there it goes.. The whole list of games I’ve played the last couple of months that’s keeping me from finishing the MG FA-ZZ and MG Unicorn. Already finished snap fitting FA-ZZ but re-doing the photoshoot ’cause I didn’t notice the lighting was a bit off, first WIP for Unicorn would prolly be posted by sometime this week.

Working with older kits like the GP01 FB and tha FA-ZZ  (which was released on 1997 and 2000 respectively) has really made me appreciate this one (released on 2007).

Everything looks awesome.. From the minimalistic white design of the Box, the quality of the plastic, downright to the manuals. One thing I don’t like though is that the psychoframe is in clear pink xD

I did choose between this and a Zeta Gundam 2.0, decided not to buy any and walk out of the store even though they were having a 20% sale on the gunpla.

Returned a day later only to find out that the 20% sale was only on the previous day and lost the chance to get another 600 JPY off the price tag. xD
